Popcorn Sales

Pack 1776 popcorn sales are a vital fundraising resource for our Scouts. You're not buying popcorn, you are supporting the Scout in your life to help him or her on their Scouting adventure.

Support your Scout! Sell Online

All Scout sales must be tracked via the Trail's End app this year. Help your Scout build their profile page and market it to your far flung relatives on social media platforms and email.

Trail's End has a wide variety of products and this year shipping is free during the whole fund raising drive!

Storefront Sales

Storefront sales are the most time efficient way to encourage our community to support our Pack.

This is an opportunity for our Scouts to speak to a large number of people in one spot.

On average, a Scout will sell $150 per hour.

It's a great way to keep our fundraising time short so we can focus more time on adventures so please sign up for a shift or two.

2021 Sale Results

In 2021, Pack 1776 was able to add our normal sale routine back into our fundraising plan. We had two storefront sales where we visited Lowe's Home Improvement and Scouts were able to go door-to-door with popcorn on hand to ask friends and neighbors to support scouting. We also retained our contact free drop ship options and connected with our community on social media to increase awareness and support of our Scouts.

Friends, family and our Northwest Valley communities provided amazing support and we had our best popcorn fundraiser ever! For 2021, Pack 1776 sold $10,797 in popcorn sales and American Hero donations. 73% of the fundraising drive goes to local Scouting which includes the Grand Canyon Council and Pack 1776. 35% of the sales go directly to Pack 1776.

This means $4,103 of our sale went to the Grand Canyon Council to pay for resources such as maintaining the campgrounds we use for Family Camp at R-C Scout Ranch, Camp Geronimo and Camp Raymond and Council run events like the Cub Braves Pow Wow at the Heard Scout Pueblo.

$3,779 went directly to Pack 1776. In order to provide all the supplies, awards and events we run at Pack 1776 the cost is approximately $256 per Scout annually. Due to generous support during fundraisers and our Chartering Organization, American Legion Eugene C. Yount Post 145, we are able to keep our unit dues at $73 per Scout annually.

The popcorn sale is an important way we reduce out of pocket costs for member families ensuring cost is a minimal barrier to entry so we can be sure all youth in our community have an opportunity to participate in Scouting.

Thank you for helping support our community's youth!

2020 Sale Results

Pack 1776 Scouts and our community really stepped up in 2020, the year of our covid-19 worldwide pandemic. This year was tough since we all needed to remain socially distant to protect one another.

Our Pack and the BSA did what we do best, adapt and be prepared. The BSA modified the sale program to allow touch free direct delivery of popcorn to customers. They also simplified and incentivized credit card payment to reduce or eliminate cash handling by the Scouts. Both measures were successful, popular and appreciated by our Scout and community families.

During September and October you often see our Scouts selling popcorn in front of the Vistancia Safeway or at Sunrise Mountain Library. This is a great way for our Scouts to meet many community members in a single location, but we couldn't do this in 2020!

We adapted and had a strong social media push and took advantage of BSA program changes to sell door to door in a contact free and safe way. You can see two of our Scouts giving their sales pitch and displaying the menu boards they made for their door-to-door sales in the video.

Pack 1776 had a total of $6,846 in sales during the pandemic. This resulted in $2,259 going to support Pack 1776 directly.

Ten of our Scouts did so well they get to slap a shaving cream pie to the face of our Popcorn Kernel, Seth Euler.

Thank you to all the families that support their Scout and to our generous community that helped us continue our valuable youth program during a dumpster fire of a year!
